McPherson Cellars EVS Windblown 2016: Dark fruits. Plum. Prune. Pepper. Spice. Balanced dry finish. Consisting of 25% Mourvèdre, 25% Petite Sirah, 23% Carignan, 18% Syrah & 9% Grenache, this Texas High Plains red blend is an outstanding selection with great value & versatility. Just like the label states “Windblown brings together three essential elements, Earth Vine Sky to bring out the true Texas terroir”. Cheers 🍷 — 5 years ago

Very nice indeed. A little fuller than it should be having left it far too long but my other half loved it. — 7 years ago
Outstanding red blend from McPherson vineyards Texas Plains. Well balanced with Bryan Parker. Bright fruit forward and spicy. Great mix. Wonderful with filet on the grill — 7 years ago
Was highly skeptical of trying a cheap Texas wine, but was pleasantly surprised. Albariño is one of my favorite white grape varietals, and after learning that Spanish and Portuguese grapes do particularly well in the Texas climate thought I’d give it a shot. Crisp, very refreshing, Happy 4th! — 8 years ago

2019 blend not stated on label. Better than 2018 blend. Non-vintage white wine blend but varietal percentages change from year to year. This 2019 blend has 65% Albariño and 35%Trebbiano. Crisp, refreshing, better balance between acidity and sweetness. Excellent and recommended. — 7 years ago
Outstanding red Texas blend. Dry, soft but rich and well balanced. Excellent with baked cod on tomato and garlic sauce. — 7 years ago

Tropical aromas including passionfruit, dry to hint sweet. Overall a very pleasant wine to enjoy with smoked fish — 7 years ago
Clearly a divisive wine, but thankfully right up my street! Full bodied deep flavour, nice bit of spice and grip. Very nice. — 7 years ago

Major Cinsault blend with some Carignan and six percent Viognier from Texas high plains. The wine is surprisingly light in color and body, but with an even more surprising balanced fruity mouthfeel and refreshing acidity. So pleasant. — 2 years ago
