Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of plum and black currant with black pepper and herbs. Lively tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and spice. You definitely need to give this one a couple minutes to open up as It can be real tight initially. The fruit comes at me in waves. Strawberries and tar, cherries and tar, and then stewed plums. Good body and a pronounced amount of oak. Some mild pepper and liquorice? Good complexity and steely in the mouth. — 10 years ago
