Le Salare

Le Salare

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Nose - earth and stone and a little flinty as it opens up. Body/appearance - medium and looks like a Pinot with that little water table on top but not a much as many Pinots. Main tasting notes - Plums and nectarines. Acidity - healthy but not overdone. Tannic/sweet - starts fruity ends a bit dry. Leaves a little bit of that tannic fuzziness. Overall pretty nice. Really like this grape varietal as I’ve tired quite a few recently. — a month ago

Inexpensive red- blackberry on the palate. Good weekday value with some grilled burgers or pizza. I would buy it again. — 4 years ago

Pena do Lobo Ribeira Sacra Mencía 2014

Excellent Ribeira Sacra Galician Spanish red. Dry with nice depth and structure. Burst of red & blackberry. Nice finish. Quite good with pasta at Salare in Seattle. — 7 years ago
