My first Turkish wine. Kavaklidere is Turkey’s oldest winemaker, and having this blend with view of the Bosporus and Blue Mosque really makes it taste great. It’s a cab, Syrah blend, but very bright and fresh. — 9 months ago
Strong cherry aromas and flavors, very mild acid from the tart cherry and some mild but present tannins. Very food friendly. A blend of 4 grapes (Öküzgözü, Bogazkere, Alicante, Carignan) made in Turkey. — 2 years ago

An interesting nose with red cherries and a hint of mint, both come through on the palate along with some good acidity and fine-grained tannins that linger. Definitely a new grape for all of us!
