Color of saturated caramel. Nose of thick aldehyde, spicy apple note, powerful spice in the nasal cavity, some milk chocolate, some woody fragrance, and in face, some black tea note. Taste of spice, with some salty and slight sweet note, some caramel note, some zest, some dark chocolate, very powerful indeed. Aftertaste is zesty and sweet, with never fading power of alcohol. 112 proof, no joke. She is a powerful monsters with flavors. However definitely too strong for me. — 7 years ago

Finishing off the night...cheesecake and bourbon. Ocean is definitely a wee bit briny but has all the savory caramel and vanilla notes of its Presidential brethren, smooth and rich comported. And not so loaded with the alky...so I may have another — 10 years ago

Voyage No.3 compliments of Chef Maides. Killed the bottle. Served with a single large ice cube (spring water). Honey suckle, caramel, vanilla, toffee, baking spices...quite viscous. A bit hot at first but what do you expect. Finish is medium length. — 7 years ago
Amazing aged whiskey. Typical Stitzel-Weller profile, with a smooth entry, and delicious wheated flavor. Hard to put this one down! — 9 years ago
Another bottle bites the dust.
This bourbon has some heat to it and produces a sweeter cocktail compared to other bourbons. — 10 years ago
