Everything I’m looking for in a red. Serve chilled. Amazing. Hungarian. Love. Dry Farms Wine — 6 years ago
This wine is a light, vibrant ruby-red hue. Dried roses and savory herbs prevail on the nose, with medicinal overtones, very ripe red and purple fruits, and subtle iron-forward minerality. Brightness, levity, and assertive grip are backed by ripping acidity. Simultaneously beautiful and badass. — 8 years ago
Light, fine & quite delicate - reminiscent of a Pinot or Südtirol Vernatsch. Fresh Strawberries & raspberries & red currant with a touch of sage & distant basil.
On the palate this is surprisingly light & fine considering the Barrique & Tonneaux aging - the wood showing only in the backdrop, brilliantly integrated. Fresh acidity, dusty ultra fine tannins.
Red fruit again with a mineral, herby aftertaste. This is very nice, esp. slightly chilled. My style of wine. — 3 years ago
100% Cabernet Franc, la uva por excelencia en esta region de Hungria — 4 years ago
Dark purple with very faint bricking on the edge. Nose is very generous, deep, black fruited supported by oak. Reminds me of Rocca di Frassinello Le Sughere. Color + nose suggest extracted and bold wine but palate is suprisignly medium bodied with firm structure and nice fruit acid balance. One could take this is a top class Cru Bourgeois. Only slightly too prominent tannins distract on a othervice highly enjoyable taste. This needs food and is still very primary at age 7. I take this will be at it's best around 3-5 years from now. Just the right kind of funk. Rich, red fruits, celery stalks, tangy velvet finish, “like the wine cellar had a community meeting” Goes great with chocolate. Recommended at Canlis. — a year ago
