Bottle 1... Deep red-purple with beautiful, equally-spaced staining legs. Herbs and wild flowers dominate the nose, but tart red fruit--mainly sour strawberry--on the palate. Perfect round medium plus body, medium plus acidity--perhaps even high, medium delicate tannins and a very long finish. Alcohol is medium plus. Drinkable now... As I'm currently drinking it... Better in another couple-three years.

2020/12/23-24 with grilled boar and polenta, grilled Hereford porterhouse, etc. Lovely indeed - it started with that slightly roasted spice box thing but quickly revealed layers of berries and flowers, tar in the background. On day 2 it was still delicious, though perhaps hinting at a shutdown towards the end of the night. At this point, feels much deeper and richer than the Cannubi. — 6 years ago
