Medium ruby, the nose exhibits delicate aromas of red cherry, red plum, very subtle wood smoke and a green, herbal note. Very pleased. Bought this whilst on holiday in Switzerland last week and, not having tried - or even heard much about - Swiss wine before, I wasn't expecting much. Yet this wine rivalled some of Burgundy's with its lightness, low acidity and aromatic flavours. An exemplar Pinot Noir, very impressive. — 11 years ago
