Seamlessly blends the salinity and verve of a Fino with the oxidative nuttiness and complexity of an Amontillado. Words fail. No other wine can do aperitif, cheese, steak, great with a cigar. A crazily old Chianti blend (with large % of Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera) from vineyards in the Appenines, north east from Florence, almost on the border to Romagna.
Very open & floral-fruity on the nose, fresh, with cherries & black fruit, a touch of cassis, tomato leaf and orange blossom.
On the palate - zesty, juicy, ultra fresh with edgy, slightly rustic (yet light) tannins. Cherries, dark berries, a pinch of spice. Great purity & flow, dangerously drinkable (at an unnoticeable 14.5%!)!

Riserva Genevieve is not the best choice for a drunk company. But here we are, making our own mistakes. And also greeting a spoiled orange unveiling in our glasses. Mango, soap, white flowers and VA. It offers good acidity and balance. Its funkiness is moderate and not disturbing. This is by far the most complete wine in the range. Does it justify the price? — a year ago
