Well structured white wine from Campangna, Italy. Recommended by Giorgio at Stellinas. Only 26 y packs in the US. Very small production. — 11 years ago

CVed 1/26/18. Second of three. Strong funk on nose literal barnyard manure but gradually blew off into iron earthy fall leaves with mature cherry notes. Palate balanced and lithe, long finish. Good recovery! Origin unknown. Must be early Gordon's. Note: even overnight the empty glass with a bit of wine still shows that earthy funk but in a poorest way. Terroir indeed! Opened 2/22/18. Wow so not at all prominent funk on the nose! If anything a bit reticent. Cork in perfect shape. Wonder why. Great balance on package and long finish. Perfect pairing with pasta red sauce eggplant. Yum. Upping score by one. — 6 years ago

So floral! Still dry, though. Dried violets, roses, and lilac. Plum, ripe cranberry, a little prune/cola. Very nice tannins and good acids, with some saline and mineral finish. Really nice. From Moore Brothers. 11/26/22 — a year ago
