Barnyard funk, loam and slightly musky nose. On the palate you get black pepper and dark fruit. The middle drops off a little but the finish is has a nice balance of tannins and acid. — 8 years ago

2015 vintage. Alentejo DOC. Aragonez, Trincadeiro and Alicante Bouschet. Needs time, decant or be patient. Dark chocolate, black cherries, ginja ( Portuguese sour cherry liqueur) and spices. Powerful and very spicy, not very refined, but it has a certain rustic charm. Should work well with beef or wild boar stew. Abv. 15%. — 2 years ago
