Lovely yellow gold colour. Slightly iodine, bruised apples. Oxidative in style. Like it's breadth and vinousity. 100% Chardonnay from 2ha vineyard of Biaunes with younger vines kept at extremely low yields. This biodynamically farmed vineyard was planted in 2000 on Kimmeridgian Chablis-like soils.
I don't sense any evidence of malo. Acidity is prominent. Brut Nature and western exposure amplifies cool vintage of 2014. Nevertheless, southern character of Aube is evident through rich fruit with good level of ripeness.
Disgorged in March 2017 it shouldn't stay too long in your cellar. Bertrand Gautherot suggests to drink his wines 2 years after the disgorgement date as he never adds sulphur during the bottling. Well, I am sure this R14 will last for a few additional years. — 5 years ago

Beautiful dark golden hue with scarce bubbles. The nose is super alluring initially and grows more with time and air. Semi sweet bread hits first betraying the zero dosage. Red apples and fresh cherries, unmistakably Pinot Noir. Oyster shells and moist earth. Citrus and tropical fruits emerge over time, simply wowing you.
A collaboration between Benoit Doussot and Bertrand Gautherot of Vouette et Sorbée. A young project with young, but super high quality fruit. 100% Pinot Noir from Aube in the Côte des Bar, all organic grapes. I may say this too often but this is really a sexy champagne. Searing acidity and plenty of depth for days. 16 months on lees and disgorged in July of 2019. Still has plenty of room to age and mature.
Incredible precision and salinity here. Full of life and energy. Impeccable fruit on the palate with the yeast being a bit more subdued but the summer berries announcing their presence. A bit of herbs and minerals. Long, dry finish. Pure sex. — 5 years ago
