Excellent VA merlot! It's got some great vanilla and spice on the tongue. Very much what I like in a Virginia wine. Goes well with chicken, pork, and soft cheese. — 9 years ago

So crisp and floral. Stands up well to flavorful food. — 7 years ago
The very pale color is not too inviting - but don't stop after a glance. The nose send showers of vanilla peaches out in a cloud of soft oak scents. On the palate, rich peach and pear mix with a slight taste of orange peel. The acidity is striking, and a citrus note clings to the lengthy, delicious finish. — 10 years ago

This wine is dark in color. The nose is complex, offering blackberry and blueberry fruit in addition to anise, black pepper, and herbal notes. The palate is savory, with earth, tar, and spice dominating the flavor package. Tannic grip is easy to handle, yet workman enough to do a job on a rib eye steak. The finish is medium long, and the savory aspect lingers. — 16 days ago
