Chocolatey. Dark fruit. Spicey. This could be too heavy, but a nice beam of minerality and acid comes to the rescue. Combines power with lift. — 8 years ago
2005 , still going really strong ! Perfect BBQ red! Really enjoyed it! — 6 years ago
Dense, cloudy, dark old cherry red. Cherry scented shoe polish on the nose, but it is rather tight. This wine needs to breathe, preferably in decanter. Second tear herb aromas come through; sage, marjoram. Also wax. Somewhat timid upon entrance but unfolds onto a very long and meaningful passage. Meaty, savory flavors, mixed with lush dark berry and berry compote. Very, very lush and fleshy from the third quarter on, sending a bolt of acidity and then a rainbow-like finish that stays for half a minute. Dusty texture. Beautiful dryness after such long tannins. This wine can age ten to fifteen years easily. 93 pts. — 7 years ago
Nice wine from France — 7 years ago
#wsetschool A very good Crozes-Hermitage that is developing nicely. This is an unfiltered organic wine that is deep in colour. A medium (+) intensity of blackberry and black cherry, some black pepper and earthy and smoked notes. This is classic Northern Rhone Syrah with high acidity and a medium (+) finish that has started to deliver leather and gamey flavour — 7 years ago

Delicious, classic Syrah dark and brooding of blackberries and bramble, yet so approachable. Ready to drink now, but has enough structure and fruit intensity to age. — 4 years ago
