A gift from the private stock of the Desfontaine family at Château de Chamilly. What a fine full-bodied Chardonnay! It has the buttery, toasty character of a ripe white Burgundy. This is no substitute for champagne, it is a whole different style of wine. Unfortunately it will only be available after the next batch is disgorged, and that might take a while as this wine stays 'sur latte' for at least 30 moons. — 9 years ago
This made me appreciate Chardonnay again! Grate value for $20 — 7 years ago

Sapid and savory between firm and crunchy red fruits of the forest and fragrant autumn leaves and edgy chicory, this is delightful start to finish and far less sour cherry than the 2010 which I enjoy but in an altogether different way. Here's to the joys of vintage variation and the scrumptious yet beguiling beauty of the Côte Chalonnaise! — 9 years ago
