Castagna Syrah Genesis 2010

Classy Beechworth fruit with a distinctly herbaceous character. Nose is deep complex fruit with a big dose of barnyard funk and menthol. Palate is Med bodied, with brambly fruit and eucalyptus notes. Quite a stemmy character. Reminds me of Piedmont in body, elegance, and tannic grip. Still lots of life ahead. Good balance. — 9 months ago

Genesis Syrah 2004

One of my favorite Australian Shirazes. Still young and vibrant at 16 years old. Layers and layers of spice bombard your palate with steely acidity making it a perfect match for the tapas COVID delivery dinner from Movida. Simply awesome, I could drink this wine everybday and be a very happy man. — 10 months ago

Un Segreto Sangiovese Syrah 2009

Black olives, liquorice and dark berries. Fills the palate, good weight and length. 2009 drunk in 2016 — 5 years ago

Ingénue Viognier 2013

Restrained stone fruit nose that is well rounded but not shouty, elegant viognier, firm peach with a touch of smoke to it. In the mouth that control continues, this is a wonderfully controlled & precise with a mineral, melon, pear and apple fruit, clean as a whistle and in no way fat, fresh mineral finish. Great. — 6 years ago
