Aromas of black currant mint and menthol- some rusticity. This is the telltale Menthol/Eucalyptus character of old vine Clare Valley Cabernet, just like Wendouree. Medium bodied with Medium plus Intensity. Sweet Palate. A very satisfying Cabernet with a Cape Grim Rib Fillet. — 8 years ago
First of 3 1996 Cabernet based vintages and this was the best easily in better form than Palmer. The Moss Wood had trademark herbaceous and brambley notes. Good length. Will go on for years more but hard to resist now. Perfect with Cape Grim rump. 18.5- — 10 years ago
The 1998 is from a great vintage. An iconic Cabernet Shiraz done so well in Australia. This shows minty Cab nuances from Coonawarra plus a choc/leafy nose with nice sweet Shiraz (McLaren Vale?) to round it out. A perfect match with Cape Grim rump. 18.5. — 10 years ago
Incredible nose of warm spices and mineral notes. Full bodied very enjoyable. Great with Cape Grim rump. 17 — 10 years ago

Deep crimson. Notes of cassis, mint and bay leaf - also vanillan oak. Medium bodied with fine grainy tannins. A long future ahead even though 10 years old now. A great accompaniment to BBQ Cape Grim Rib and Waygu on New Years Eve. — 6 years ago
