Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, cigar box, peppermint, coffee, mocha, leather, cola, tobacco, earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm, yet round tannins, and tangy cranberries.
This is a wonderful red Rioja. Well balanced with great complexity and a great mouthfeel.
This 7 year old is showing lots of fruits, lots of cola and chocolate notes, and a smooth mouthfeel with big tannins.
Needs an hour to open up properly. Good by itself as a sipping wine by the porch. Would age nicely in the next 5 years.
Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats. I paired it with cheeses and Chicken skewers.
100% Tempranillo grapes, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. A very small production of 2500 bottles.
