Had this at the restaurant in the Birchwood, South Africa - The Grill at One Twenty. Excellent! — 9 years ago
Birchwood and black cherry. — 11 years ago
Chappellet wine dinner. I've not had much of their wines and wanted to see if they are worth a visit when we are out for our yearly Napa trip in February!
I wanted to like this more than I did. I love cab franc! This was good, but having had The Pritchard hill cab franc before, it's hard to compare 🤷🏼♂️. Red fruit filled decadent chocolate, with birchwood, cedar, and currant. This sucker will age nicely though. Tannic even after the hour of air. — 7 years ago
People must be out of their minds to give this Pinot an overall rating of 8.8. This is one of the most profound domestic pinots I've ever tasted. Blackberry and strawberry fruit but no tartness. Birchwood and a touch of smoke. In a PRIME drinking window. If you have this, don't miss this window! — 7 years ago
Birchwood, root beer, orange creamsicle — 10 years ago
Our monthly 4th Friday event at the storage facility. No requirements, just wine you want to share with others! Always an enjoyable time.
Gap's crown may be my favorite vineyard for Pinot. The fruit that comes out of here is so powerful and in your face. KB is able to get a bit of restraint out of this, but it can't fully tame it. This is a wild beast. Blackberries. Nutmeg. Birchwood. Solid backbone. Serious pedigree can be tasted throughout! — 7 years ago
CVed 8/19/17 comp with RBJ. NOT CAB. Dark Ruby color. Nose of mature mushrooms and autumn leaves and dark berries and peppery notes. Firm body and nicely resolved tannins and good length. Great value from Acker auction at $18. RBJ as was in Iceland. Slightly lighter in color and body with that minty note and not as concentrated but still a nice wine. Turns out very different varietals! A blend of equal parts Grenache and Mourvedre. PS shockingly good with Bahn min pork. Score raised to 9.1. opened 2/24/19. Cork broke but wine is fine. So CV worked well. Same comments. Good value. — 7 years ago

Wow. Burgundy, ladies and gentlemen. Light, but powerful. Menthol, dirty raspberries and birchwood. Awesome acidity on the palate...nothing extracted about this. All the red fruits. Potpourri. Lavender and red flowers. The aromas are incredible. — 6 years ago
