Cherries, blueberries, anise, tobacco and some herbs present. After a little decanting, coffee, maple and caramelized red fruit prominent. Delicious and different. — 8 years ago
Beacon wines. Umbria.Green olives, hay, Earth, BlackBerry, plum and stewed fruit. Great value. $14. Sangiovese, Merlot, Barbera blend. — 10 years ago
Comparing two 2010 Sagrantino di Montefalcos. Both opened for an hour first. I thought the Adanti was a bit softer and more aromatic at first. But the Perticaia had more structure, depth and complexity. Decanted the Perticaia for dinner (only have 1 decanter) and it improved even more. — 2 years ago
1994. Eccezionale. — 8 years ago
Big emotions. Deep ruby, wonderfully complex: cacao, vanilla, and leather outstanding over red fruit aromas. Ethereal final. In mouth is a velvet, with a fascinating and elegant tannin. — 9 years ago
From tannico dry, tannic (of course) and surprisingly fruity. No nose at all. Fine without food — 5 years ago
Barnyard-y! We dug it. — 6 years ago
We love it! It's our daily wine, unfortunately we can't always find it so grab a case when you see one. — 9 years ago

In the past I thought the Adanti had quite a tannic punch. That has faded over the 3 years since I last opened one. — 2 years ago
