Antichi Vitigni Autoctoni Rosso Toscana Pugnitello 2016

Interesting wine. Some sort of semi obscure Tuscan grape sometimes used for blending in Chianti. Very very juicy - maybe too much so. Pretty light, but with great fruit and a surprisingly long finish. Good acid, very little in the way of tannins.

Editing up to 9.0 with a bit more air. Fleshes out in a nice way.

Raboso 2010

Annata 2010. Rosso rubino scuro e profondo, profumi vegetali e animali, poi spezie e tabacco.
Vino con poco tannino e tanta acidità, vellutato e denso. Un’ottima scoperta, uno dei tanti vitigni autoctoni italiani da valorizzare.

Still a very interesting wine, with a ripe peachy-pear nose and a spine of acidity on the palate. Salty. Works well with that beast of pairings, tomato sauce. Needs food to show at its best. — 10 years ago
