There are these moments in recorded music where something gets reissued today from like the 70s or 80s on a crisp new vinyl press. Nobody's seen the original because it's so damn rare. And the recording just fucking bumps so hard and the soul of the music is so deep, from the ages when synths and sample banks were too far off to care about. Ya, this. This is the one. Don't be afraid to drink this today. You will be rewarded with soul. It will be difficult to return to trap hats and people with no talent feeding you meaningless poetic dribble. And my apologies to Amass, we put you up against this. Unfortunately this wine won in the end by a long shot and the 30 chefs in your kitchen were all slain by 3 generations of farmers working side by side. — 5 years ago
The 2015 Daniel Gomez Jimenez Landi Las Iruelas is exotic and spellbinding from the first tilt of the glass, showing a bouquet of dried florals, crushed strawberries, and a dusting of Christmas spice, as it develops more complexity in the glass, with white smoke minerality, hints of black pepper, and leaning now toward the black fruit spectrum. It envelopes the palate in soft textures, deceiving at first, as a mix of tart red berry fruit descends upon the senses, further complicated by saturating minerals and savory spice, cheeks puckering from brisk acids as an air of sweet violet florals amass toward the close. The finish is long and spicy, with fine tannins clenching with a lasting twang of blackberry and citrus. Wow! — 10 months ago
With fennel ice cream and yogurt crisp at Amass. One of the best pairings I've ever had — 5 years ago
Begins firm and tight. With air shows great skeletal structure and continues to amass flesh and nerve with time. — 6 years ago

The 2018 Müller-Thurgau Feldmarschall von Fenner from Tiefenbrunner is luminous gold in color with green hues in the glass. Its bouquet is stunning and perfumed with lime citrus-infused yellow flowers, white smoke minerality, wild herbs, green apple and savory exotic spice. There’s a richness to its depths of textural white orchard fruits, perfectly offset by stimulating acidity and a cooling hint of mint leaf, as inner florals amass toward the close. Wow, there’s so much going on here, and yet this is still so youthfully poised. I can imagine that a few years in the cellar will really bring the Feldmarschall to life.
