Absolutely perfect with a dinner of Thai Khao Soi. This is the sort of kabinett that just bowls me over. How can you still buy a wine like this for less than $20? The nose alone - stone, apples, honey, flowers.... — 6 years ago

Nose: bag of ripe black fruit (black cherries), gooseberry, nice herbal untamed note, grape stems
Palate: soft and elegant tannins, but a bit wild at the same time. Young and easy to drink but still good balance of all flavours. Good example of medium level unoaked northern Rhone

great with chicken khao soi or other spicy Thai. great spontaneous find. green apple and floral. sweet but mellow. — 10 years ago
Had to crack a ‘21 and put one in the cellar for a few years. Very impressed. But of course KP nails this variety. A but rounder than Riesling with different aromatics but still that good teeth shattering acidity and minerality. Paired with khao soi. — 3 years ago
Hot summer weather, with Thai styled Soi 19 wonton noodles. Well paired with this lovely champagne that is ready to go at all times. Soft like a Pinot, lovely like a red wine. Some say , hot like a supermodel, make love like a wife. Go for this! — 6 years ago

Nose: 15 grapes and 21 years of aging clearly bring a huge amount of complexity here... Cream brule flavours, nutty spices, red and black fruit, gooseberry, garrigue, hearty spices, leaves, and other tons of flavours...
Palate: extremely soft and velvet tannins, subtle, circular taste, delicate, excellent. Very long finish.

Honeysuckle, homemade mead, plastic, chalk, silky, lemon yoghurt, medium sweet, cloudy, medium+ acid. Great with food paired well with: gaeng hang lay, khao soi, chocolate espresso mousse, sourdough/cheddar/caramelized onions/prosciutto — 11 years ago
Light lemon curd, bay, bagel, caraway, mesquite, sandy soi, lilies dry-rotted cedar. Complex aromas. Medium-heavy body. Lemon with light honey, breakfast tea, starfruit, silken tannins, lychee, underripe apricot, gesso, black river pebbles in a lemon river. Refined, elegant, proportioned like a racehorse in stassis. — 11 years ago
Funkiest vino rosato I have ever tasted! More like a sharp Spanish cidre than any wine, with a muddled orange color and familiar barnyard nose. The nose lulls you for a moment as you think you know what’s coming and then BAM—funk to the tenth power, backed by steely acid and light effervescence. Lower alcohol at just 10.5% but you don’t really notice one way or another; this wine is all about the funk. Not for every palate but a perfect foil for the spicy Thai fish curry and Khao Soi my wife and I enjoyed at Night and Market Sahm in Venice; this little cutie came from the restaurant’s wine list. Had the 2020 vintage. — 4 years ago
Dark red almost purple in colour, notes of dark berries with a finish of spice. Great with a Pad Thai or a khao soi. No more than $15. — 7 years ago

Nose: all the aromatic flavours of excellent Grenache first - then loads of spiciness, garrigue, elegant oak, roasted meat, black fruit (black currant, cherries)
Palate: very very fine and silky tannins, medium to high body, red/black fruit, nice oak, great complexity

Nose: elegant and voluptuous bouquet of apricot, stone fruit, tangerine, honey, citrus, tropical fruit (pineapple and mango), floral note, Turkish delight, and a tiny hint of oak - never too much
Palate: very elegant and rounded flavours. Stone fruit and citrus first, then honey and flowers and tropical. All with an excellent acidity to balance it all. Long palate and great complexity
