Beckstoffer Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Opened a bottle 2 years ago & it was excellent but a bit of tannin bite on finish. Today this bottle retained the fruit aromas & palate feel but it’s finish softened so I found it bit better. — 5 days ago

L.A. Cetto

Valle de Guadalupe Petite Sirah 2022

Dark, glass-clinging purple with near black core. Inviting nose and full palate of natural blueberry jam (without canning sugar) and drying blackberries. Medium acidity and medium minus tannins lend support to an otherwise "chonky" mouthfeel. Finish is brief and a wee bit Louisville slugger. My first wine from Mexico (Guadeloupe Valley, Baja California) turns out to be a quite satisfying drink. Not a blockbuster by any means, but well within typical style for the variety from a warm climate. And a good value at twelve bucks. Drink within the year with meatloaf now or burgers from the grill next cookout. — 6 months ago

Valle de Guadalupe Nebbiolo 2017

Sweet berries, chocolate, oak, and wood chips on the nose. Sharp, oaky with lots of spice. Blueberries, raspberries, leather, and hints of eucalyptus. Tasty wine that is crying out for some rich food. — 6 years ago

Canto de Luna

Valle de Guadalupe Tempranillo Blend 2022

Characteristic wine from Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. Expressive dark fruits, spicy, earthy and a jammy edge. Pairs perfectly with the corn, beans and mole in Mexican dishes. No wonder why they call Mexican wines the next Tequila! Want to learn more about wines from Valle de Guadalupe? Reserva Privada Valle de Guadalupe Vino Tinto Nebbiolo 2016

This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 6 years ago

2023 vintage. PNP. Light-medium body. Candied and pretty but I need a string to bring this helium balloon down to earth a tad before it hits the power lines. 2.2.26. — 5 months ago

Monte Xanic

Valle de Guadalupe Chenin Colombard 2022

Had the 2022 in January of 2024 with chicken tinga. What a nice little wine. Minerality and a touch of citrus with some floral on the nose. Hints of lime on the tongue and a hint of hibiscus on the nose. This was a lot like a New Zealand sauv blanc but with a softer punch. Enjoyed this and wondering about going through the hassle of obtaining this one again. Definitely would if it was easier to get. — 2 years ago

Norte 32

Etiqueta Blanca Cabernet Sauvignon
