Clearly aimed to be a more extracted, fuller style. Not sure if it’s just some proportion of dried grapes or something else. It’s very good, and at its peak. Deep umami nose has dark, dried berries, leather, moist earth, dark chocolate. Dark fruit and dark chocolate on the palate, with soft, but prominent and drying tannins bearing forth a terra cotta tile finish. Again, it’s very good, I’m just a bit annoyed that it kind of hides where it’s from. — 19 hours ago
Quintarelli is a legendary producer and it was very interesting to try this since I rarely would opt for a €300 Amarone. It has very unique aromatics. Medium bodied but with very intense and luscious profile on the palate. Dark fruits, tomato leaf, herbs, balsamic. Dry finish. 16,5% alcohol that is impressively integrated. — 16 days ago
Medium-deep, ruby-garnet color.
Aromas of dried cherry, roasted bell pepper, vanilla, raspberry, cinnamon.
Off-dry. Flavors of dried cherry, raspberry, cinnamon, vanilla, floral, hint of leather. Delicious!
