Impressive. Immiddiate notes of cherry vanilla and sweet tobacco, a bit of complexity, and earthy notes of leather with a slight hint of bbq smoke. 2014 drinking well in 2020, if a bit early. Tannins soften after a hour or 2 decant. Medium to full bodied for a Brunello. 4.1/9.0 — 3 years ago
This is a beautiful wine! Evidently the Nero D’avola grape is the most important grape in Sicily. Why have I never tried this before? It’s a full bodied wine with a wonderful lingering taste of plum. Will definitely be drinking more of this in the future. Paired this wine with a fresh veggie/shrimp pasta plate. The Wine Cellar - Boynton Beach, FL — 5 years ago
