At least 15 years of age on this VSOP from a family-owned producer. 40% abv. Very fragrant scotch-like vanilla oak and dried fruit. Complex and spicy finish. Goes well with dates and salted almonds as a digestif. Sipping it neat by a Christmas tree, but it also really wakes up with an ice cube🎄 Not Henny! 🙌 — a year ago

A cousin of pinot noir? Mineral nose with pencil lead, graphite, superb ripe cherry, some meat juice too but discreet. Very nice. The palate is yummy! Superb bright cherry all along a not so strong acid backbone for a maximum immediate pleasure. No tannins but a nice silky touch that add a layer of complexity and pleasure. Very well crafted. Rather long finish with cherry. Pleasure wine that went perfectly with a Hungarian inspired goulash. — 2 years ago

The longevity and complexity of Riesling Vendanges Tardives always amazes me.
An off dry, golden coloured wine with a nose full of stewed apple, honey, the taste is exquisite and complex and somehow never ending. A dream combination with Tarte tatin.. — 3 years ago
Amazing wine but just not as absolutely delectable as the 71 — 6 years ago
