Pop and pour at Luce in San Francisco. A majestic dark ruby red color. On the nose: bursting from the glass are beautiful notes of plum, stewed meat, cedar, some black raspberry, smoke, floral. Taste: smooth, rich, juicy wine with dark fruit, worn leather, meaty, bitter chocolate, and a spiced graphite long finish. YUM! A day before fire up for the Kevin Hart show in SF. Cheers! — a year ago
On the nose licorice, cherry vanilla, blackberry. Palate floral, smooth, oak, violet. Smooth yet dry. Renegade Wines recommended. Small production. Excellent for the price. — 3 years ago
12 years of age calmed this wine down, it’s at its peak now! — 7 months ago
Hart is no more, I think they’re the last of the 1st gen of Temecula family wineries to go. I will miss their wines which I felt were alays best in the valley. This one named for the field blend of grapes growing along their driveway and behind the winery bldg was a joy showing they had a sense of humor — 9 months ago
Another beauty. Rich and complex. Enjoyed at the Hart compound. — 2 years ago

What a great find: a robust California pinot with finesse and style. This has all the hallmarks of new world Pinots, with a nice brushy nose, rich red fruit taste, and depth to balance a food-friendly acidity and brightness. Go roast some salmon and enjoy! — 2 months ago
