Foris Vineyards

Rouge Valley Pinot Gris 2018

Delectable Wine

Extremely pale straw. Tightly focused on the nose, displaying racy green apple and orange zest qualities and a smoky mineral overtone. Tight and nervy in style but not lacking for depth to the juicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Finishes chewy and long, with lingering mineral and citrus zest notes. Oregon Moscato 2018

Not your typical moscato. A nice mute sweetness to this and paired really well with my baked salmon and roasted cauliflower — 4 months ago

Dry Rogue Valley Gewürztraminer 2017

Aromatic, floral, spicy, gingery drop that aced the pairing with Christmas lunch—Turkey, stuffing, yams, roasted green beans, and corn pudding. Balanced and elegant. — 9 months ago

Pretty light, some might say thin, pinot noir. Very smooth and drinkable but also very linear. Decent sub-$20 pinot. — a year ago

Rogue Valley Cabernet Franc 2013

Great earth/fruit balance. Blueberry, raspberry, plum. Good finish. But more. Chateaubriand cut, with Shitaki mushrooms marinated in a port/brandy sauce. Anniversary dinner at Tacern chef's table - 10/6/17. — 3 years ago
