Outstanding. First sips were overly dry and tannin rich for me but as my palate adjusted I grew to really love it. Let this one splash against your rear taste buds instead of just savoring each sip slowly. The flavor opens up with a fullness of grape must, leather, oak, tobacco, and of course, the wonderful Sangiovese fruit. — 8 months ago
Extremely satisfying, especially at €14.50/bottle. — 7 years ago
Quite nice Sangiovese with Pat’s spaghetti ($20). Dark fruit and firm tannins. — 5 months ago
This wine's story is interesting & important -- biodynamic wine production by only women! Paired well with Waygu beef, beet, potato & frizzled kale. — 7 years ago
Daughter hated it I loved it! — 7 months ago
A fun chianti from concrete. Cheers to the ladies at Colle — 7 years ago
The aromas and taste have evolved. Delicious old fruity aromas and flavors. Tannins are still gripping so it hasn't fully developed. Black fruit. A little old wood funk and brett. Slightly warm on the finish. Amazing overall. 14% abv — 7 years ago

Vintage 2018 | I do not know wines of Donatella Cinelli Colombini that have disappointed me. This cuvée is new to me. The dragon in the label is Carlo, Donatello’s husband. The 8 doves on the label are the women who made the wine. This is the first Italian winery staffed by women only. It’s a bit curious for the grapeblend that is used is unusual: 60% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot and 20% Sagrantino. Purple red colour. Beautiful cherries in smell, vanilla and a hint of cacao. Very vibrant taste with good acidity. I paired this dragon wine with a diabolo spaghetti. A sauce of San Marzano tomatoes and red pepper, pancetta and minced beefmeat. — 14 days ago
