On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our guest conductor, and violin soloist, Leonidas Kavakos is leading an BEETHOVEN (Violin Concerto in D, Opus 61) and then concluding with DVOŘÁK (Symphony No. 7 in D minor, Opus 70). It is a rare treat to have a combination conductor/soloist leading the Orchestra, only the second time I can recall in about 12 years of attendance. The other instance was with Anne-Sophie Mutter, also a violinist, a few years ago now.
A copper, pink color in the glass, visually stunning.
Nose has soiled cherry, wet chestnuts, new leather and a touch of cold tangerine peel.
Palate has wet leather, yellow cherry, sour cherry, light chestnut barrel notes and quick squeeze of tangelo. A lot going on here... really at it's best slightly warm (+55°F) and it opens up beautifully. — a year ago
Robe rubis foncé
Nez de fruit rouge d olive noire gourmand mais avec une fraîcheur
Bouche suave mais avec un événement acidité et une tonicité apportée par de beaux tanins👍👍 — a year ago
Holy F! This is madness in a glass, makes me think Burgundy immediately, raspberry with wet earth and lightly smokey on initial approach. I could just smell this all night and not even have to take a sip to be overly satisfied. Mashed raspberry/strawberry finish extends for minutes, this hit the decanter about an hour ago, I can't even imagine where this will be in a few more hours. It's fruit perfume. I think this is easily on par with the similarly priced Enderle & Moll (Liaison), if not almost better! — 3 years ago
