So this is basically impossible to dislike. The young woman on the label has it right: grill up a steak and dig in. Those seeking finesse and subtlety, seek elsewhere - that's not what this is for. A juicy, dense, spicy, over-extracted wine (15.6% ABV). Go big or go home. — 7 months ago
2009 vintage poured in April, 2022. Fruit forward with light tannins. I have another bottle to look forward to. — 3 months ago

Superior wine. Enjoyed it — 3 years ago
Really nice Cabernet from the Behrens family. It needs at least an hour in the decanter and it is still smoothing out after three but this is smooth and complex without being overly fruity or sweet. Deep purple in the glass with a dark berry and mashed fresh cherry nose. Palate is clean with the perfect blend of fruit, spice and oak. A little dry on the finish but in a good way. There’s more years in this but it’s worth a taste now. — 4 years ago
I used to think there was no such thing as too big, tannic, and hit you over the head of a wine so long as it was well done. Well, this is very well done and excels at what it seems to be aiming for. But at this point in my evolving taste, it’ seems on the knife’s edge of being very enjoyable or too much. It comes close to drinking like 100% petite sirah. — 6 months ago
Satisfying. Ripe and heavily oaked. Label not quite as creepy as the one with the yeti. — 6 months ago
