Warboys Vineyard Shiraz Grenache 2018

Pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing black and blue fruits with cedar, chocolates, earth, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf and dark coffee.

This Single Vineyard is tangy and spicy. Nicely balanced, soft and elegant.

Needed 5 hours to open up properly. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.

I had this vintage a year ago and it is already drinking better.

Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.

A blend of Grenache and Shiraz. Grapes were handpicked from 50 year old vines. Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. Unfiltered and unfined. A small production of 440 cases.

14.2% alcohol by volume.

Weird that the label says Grenache but Delectable lists Shiraz first.

A lovely rich, slightly sweet Chardonnay. Peachy, strawberry, melon flavours, long smooth finish which lingers on the palate with a bit of zestiness. Lovely. — 6 years ago

Nothing stand out in the taste, but for an organic cab at $11 this is amazing for value for money. — 4 years ago

McLaren Vale Grenache Blend 2017

Chosen from a 47 Wine blind tasting to be the new Club Red for the Downs Club to be sold for around $20. Many of them were very similar Cookie Cutter type Wines but this will sell well. — 6 years ago
