Classy. Very smooth with polished tannins. Not as aromatic as I had hoped, but the texture was so velvety. A very well-made bottle of wine that had great balance. 60% Merlot, 20% Abouriou, 20% Cabernet Franc. 12/26/22. — 2 years ago
The nose shows a mix of ripe, dried, slightly candied & floral fruits that are; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, both plums, raspberries, slightly fermented strawberries & dry cranberries with haunting blueberries. Dark, pronounced spices, clove, vanilla, touch of cinnamon stick, dark, rich earth, steeped fruit tea, core and f anise leading to some black licorice, ambers, limestone, dry, crushed rock powder, mix of blue & purple cola, mint, tree sap with bark, slightly withering & candied florals that are; dark, red, purple & blue.
The body is medium full, rich, ripe with nice viscosity. She has a light tannin feeling. Mix of ripe, dried, slightly candied & floral fruits that are; blackberries, dry, dark cherries, black raspberries, both plums, raspberries, slightly fermented strawberries & dry cranberries with haunting blueberries. Dark, pronounced spices with mid to strong heat, clove, vanilla, touch of cinnamon stick, salted caramel, dark, rich earth, steeped fruit tea, core of anise leading to some black licorice, ambers, incense, dry tobacco, savory, grilled meats, used leather, dry & fresh herbs, mint, limestone, dry, crushed rock powder, mix of blue & purple cola, mint, tree sap with bark, slightly withering & candied florals that are; dark, red, purple & blue. The acidity is a cool mountain stream. The finish is; nicely knitted, well balanced fruit & earth, elegant, fruit juicy falling onto spice & earth persisting several minutes.
Good...still needs 3-5 years in prison before it gives more back.

Natty: pet nat?
Notes: very fruity and young bordering sparkling grape juice. But chilled and in small doses it was delightful on a hot day and interesting to try a red pet nat — 3 years ago
Nice, basic Barbera. Lots of savory acidity, brambles, graphite, red fruit. From Hagens, Bellingham. 12/26/22 — a year ago
Ruché seems to be a perennial favorite of mine, ever since my first bottle back in 2016. Beautiful brick red color; it looked older than 2 years! Very aromatic nose with nice floral notes and what almost smelled like a red moscato. Bright red fruit on the palate with some warm spices thrown in. Just wonderful. 100% Ruché. 12/26/22. — 2 years ago
2020/12/26-29 with leftover rib roast, ebi and hotate fry, etc. This was quite good - the oak was perhaps a touch apparent for my taste, but there was lots of open-knit red fruit, woodsy mushroom, spice, etc. — 3 years ago
