Over oaked? Yes, but deliciously so. If your looking for a French-style peppery Syrah, you'll be disappointed. However, if you're looking for rich, toffee, espresso, BlackBerry jam, old fashioned California Syrah, this is your wine. — 10 years ago

This is a very thought provoking $15 chardonnay. If this wine has any oak at all it is subdued. The maloactic is restrained as well delivering a fruit forward, well-balanced wine. Hats off to Don & Sons. — 10 years ago
