Honestly rating this because I find it the exact opposite of what I find in a high quality “typical” California Chardonnay. Light oak, no butter, light wine with no off flavors. Really not much here but citrus and green apple. Almost no nose. Refreshing and the exact opposite of the over ripe and over altered chardonnays of the new world. Probably why I actually like it. My wife loves California Chardonnay and bought this really cheap and hated it so for the low price I give it a 8.8. — 5 years ago

The setting sometimes affects the feelings I have for a wine and I’m up in the mountains with my family drinking this bottle by myself but this wine really was an unexpected surprise. So much cedar, dark fruit, plum, baking spices. Tannins that are relentless. A little inky, olive, lavender thingy going on. — 6 years ago
