This 1994 Kay Bros is reminiscent of an aged St Emilion or Pomeol. Simply stunning for an old Aussie. Dense purple in color, showing no signs that this is a 21 yr old wine. Black fruit is still abundant on the nose and on the palate. Soft, mature and supple. Who knows where this wine will go in the next 5-10 yrs!! — 10 years ago

This masculine, rugged Ribera smells like roasted meats, tobacco and ripe red fruit. Med to full bodied. Lush mouthfeel gives way to dusty tannins. Needs some time. Decant. — 10 years ago

This is one fantastic Pinot from Carneros (the historical Stanly Ranch) that's really feminine in style, and elegant. Well-structured, with bright red fruit. Pommard Clone; only 100 cases produced! Delicious! — 10 years ago

I enjoyed this wine. I'm a big fan of Linne, though I must admit, of all of his wines, this was not my favorite. Typical big, ripe style, though sort of lacks that "special something" I've experienced in other Linne Calodo bottlings. Totally enjoyable though. Very cool label! — 10 years ago
