Not a weak/watery pinot Pinot like some that I have had recently. Refreshing and also not and overly high alcohol content. Fruity California style - not so much Burgundian. Very pleasant!
There's good fruit there but the lack of sweetness on the palate tips the scales toward a more earthy vibe than its new world counterparts.

This wine is not ready yet. 2012 is a great vintage, and I believe that this wine will really develop in the bottle. If you drink now– You must decant heavily, but even that does not show the full potential of this one. 6-12 months more.

Pretty consistent Zin - not to much heat like some. Exactly as it says on the bottle... Spicy and jammy. Not my favorite but very approachable.

Definitely an old world style Syrah from CA. Not the typical big, fruity, jammy... A bit more subtle with dusty earth on the nose that follows through to the palette.

I love the mouth feel on this wine! Round, juicy, fruity, hint of spice. Awesome value at 10 bucks!

Lot 394 Meritage Merlot Blend 2011
Smells like a fresh cut green pepper - needs major decanting. One of those wines I would open one night and drink the next. Once decanted it showed some nice complexity on the palette with a decently long smooth finish.
