Pale red hue, nice nose, with sour cherry, florals, spice, hint of earth and a touch of vanilla. Refreshing acidity and very low tannins and reasonable length. Very surprising wine, was not expecting so much intensity from an English wine at 11.5% alcohol. — 9 years ago

70% Chardonnay, 30% Savagnin. Aged 18 months in old oak. Beautiful sherried nose with lovely citrus fruit, perhaps a little apricot and some stone minerality. Spectacular acidity and freshness to balance out rich texture and austerity — 9 years ago

Wow, extremely dense and complex. Sour red fruit, meaty earthy palate, subtle dill vanilla and spice from oak. Great length — 9 years ago
