Fairly straightforward Beaujolais -- tart strawberries and earthy spice. Nice enough but nothing special. — 8 years ago
Whole berry strawberry and spicy white pepper nose; red berries, peppery spice, bright acidity on palate; tangy, slightly bitter finish. Definitely riper and fruitier than Jura Trousseau, yet the same lean, hint-of-Pinot character. Great with food, fun, fascinating, but unlikely to be California's next big thing.... — 8 years ago
Just piling on with the other comments. Absolutely brilliant. — 7 years ago
Hard to imagine anything better. Spectacularly good. Wish I had more. — 8 years ago
So good. Smells like autumn, tastes like the refined Pinot Noir that it is -- sleek, round, spicy, earthy; ripe fruit; some licorice root and tangy soy sauce. Tannins still present but not intrusive. Long. — 8 years ago
Cedar, earth, and cassis nose. Medium-bodied flavors of kirsch, spice, and cedar. Still lively acidity, tannins pretty well resolved. Quite lovely, actually. — 9 years ago
Impressive. Lovely aroma, long finish still with some tannic grip. — 8 years ago
Drank this to celebrate my birthday. A celebration in a glass! Thrilling aromas of poached pear, toasted brioche, and citrus. Rich, long, and dry with just a hint of hazelnut oxidation creeping in. More please! — 8 years ago
Double decanted and taken to dinner. Ahh, cab franc! Fills the mouth with berries, earth, black olives, and on and on. Delicious. — 8 years ago

I had such high hopes. Bottle was well-stored for more than 20 years. Looks fine and cork was in great shape and not super loose in the neck. Silky and mellow, but a wan showing for what I know should be so much better. Fairly short, slightly spiky finish. Sad, actually. — 5 years ago
