Rustic first sip. Compares to some Anchen I've had. Woodsy draw with a tart fruit bite. I would consider this a subtle punch with great flavor. Some harsh bite on sloshed sips. But for the price an excellent one to pull out for weeknight company. — 7 years ago
Rich color. Thin nose. Fruit shows up big time with first sip. Drawback provides fruit notes- red pears, licorice. Finish has some harsh notes. — 7 years ago
Very crisp. Sour/in ripe fruit finish- but is more balanced that others. Very nice sunny day value bottle. — 6 years ago
Not grabbing a bunch on the nose. But I’m a bit out of practice. first sip opens up with dark moist plum. A true mouth bouquet- I was worried about this given the age and fear of storage, but this sings a song. Very light on the tongue. Vanishing finish. Bit of a fruit skin shock at the very end. — 6 years ago

Huge nose!! And that's on a head cold. Solid fruit whiff but with a some understated sweet. Full mouth first sip. Draw back on tongue reveals sweetness and ripe cherry (maybe recall the head cold). This is a big fruit wine. Stands up to hearty faire and dominant flavors. — 7 years ago
Low fruit nose. Not picking up much at first. Dark fruit first sip with a stone fruit core. Needs to open up more. Gonna keep it in the air a bit longer. ....... Nose is still tight. Has a garden at night scent. Tart fruit draw back. Creamy finish. Really wanted this to be better than it is, but there is a certain depth to it that will let the other bottles show up better later. — 6 years ago
Dusty nose. First sip runs fruity but with a bold chop of earth. Draw shows textures of ripe tree fruit with some wood. This is full flavor with an elegance to it. Highly recommend. — 7 years ago
Woodsy nose with some pepper notes at the tail. Sip has vanilla- rich rich dark fruit. Pull back has exceptional fig and plum with full mouth feel. Long flavor with no downside to the finish. — 7 years ago

Pale red in the glass. Fruit nose. Insanely smooth first sip. Ripe dark fruit sloshes about the tongue. Draw back has zero bite. Excellent flavor reveals a wine that can age into even more glory. High marks from me. — 5 years ago
