Was this ever good. I’ve been searching for a nice Côtes du Rhône and I found this one. Really good out of the bottle. Even better after it opened up a bit more. Great value right now so I’ll grab a couple more of these before the sale is done. I’ll keep trying others but when you find one you like you gotta get more. — 7 years ago
Have been trying to find some good Côtes du Rhône options lately and did some research on this one and decided to give it a go. One of the better ones I have had. I’m not putting the bad ones on my profile because if I have nothing good to say I should just say nothing. This one doesn’t fit in that category. It needed some time to open up and release the full experience but once it did it was really flavourful and enjoyable. Next time I’ll drop it in the old decanter to get the full aroma and flavour notes out of it. It will be tried again. — 7 years ago
My wife and I learned about Chianti Classico from watching Series 1 of The Wine Show. Before then, Chianti was the bamboo covered bottles from the 70’s that were classified as bad wine, to me at least. But the show changed that for me. The “Classico” at the end of the name makes a big difference but it has to have the black rooster band around the neck as well. We have tried a few at restaurants and were impressed but we hadn’t grabbed one for home before this one. I think it was a good choice after a write up in the LCBO magazine pointed it to our attention. Flavourful, smooth, well balanced and after 20 minutes of decanting it was ready for a taste. Pleased with the choice. Really enjoyed this CC and it was a great compliment for our steak dinner. Good stuff. — 7 years ago

Good Melbec/Cab blend. Full of flavour, great aroma and nice smooth finish. And a great value to top it off. — 7 years ago
