A hint of smokiness. Beautiful balance. — 11 years ago

One of our favorites. Served at dinner. The nutty flavor goes well with a wide range of foods. — 10 years ago
Thank you to Steve Matthiasson for introducing me to this grape and Trac Le at Bi-Rite for turning me on to this label. This wine has fruit on the nose but only a whisper on the tongue. Well-received with roast beef. — 10 years ago
Flinty with rich acidity. Not fruity. Been sitting this for a while and it's come along well. — 11 years ago
A refreshing take on a beautiful grape. We've had it as an aperitif to the delight of our friends who've tried it. Fizzy and murky! — 10 years ago
Matthiasson 2008 NV Red Wine. We had it with a braised brisket of beef. The wine is luscious-- well balanced. Still very full-bodied without a bit of harshness. It's excellent now but would be even better with more time. — 10 years ago
A style of gruner veltliner new to me. Very tight on uncorking but opened up hours later. Another year will do this wine well. Liked it better than his Edna GV. — 11 years ago

I've never experienced the luscious "herbiness" of a vermouth like this. Absolutely gorgeous. We bought it to make Manhattans, for which it is the secret sauce. But I'm planning to drink it on its own and serve as an aperitif. — 10 years ago
