2013. Much richer than I expected, but sooo juicy. Smoke, blueberries, aniseed. Beautiful lift. Finegrained tannins and oh so drinkable. — 10 years ago
Nice and fresh Galician red, made from Souson. — 10 years ago
Lovely fresh red from Asturias. Made from Mencía and Albarín tinto (=Alfrocheiro in Portugal). Zippy red fruit, black olives, olive brine, some really pretty spices. Taste is very smooth yet fresh. Red fruits, chalky tannins. Tiny green bitter to keep it interesting. Great acidity. Very gluggable. 2013. — 10 years ago
An orange wine for beginners. Light, fresh, nice. Some VA and oxidative notes, but in a way that lifts the green herbs and stone fruits. Playful acidity with a slight spritz. Pear, apricot and orange skin (and blossom) flavours, with a nicely grippy finish. Good stuff. — 10 years ago
A beautifully aged grower Champagne; perfect for our anniversary (2006 too ;-)). Ripe and full on, nicely countered by an almost grippy body and racy acidity. — 10 years ago
Beautiful Albariño from Norrel Robertson (@escoces_volante). Understated peach, stone fruit as well as some citrus and almond blossom on the nose. The palate shows it means business, but not in volume. It's not a quick quaffer; the concentrated mid palate and salty tang with a slight almond bitterness make it more than that. The acidity seems hidden at first, but is definitely there to finish every sip and to make you want more. — 10 years ago
Intellego Elementis 2013. Make sure it gets air; it really blossoms after that. Orange skin, mango, orange flowers, a hint of smokiness. Mouthfilling and only slightly grippy on the palate, finishing with a very refreshing acidity. — 10 years ago
2013. Most excellent Albariño. Northern European in character; huge acidity, almost lean. But with big concentration hiding behind that. Very delicate nose; apple, green herbs, marzipan. Mouthfilling. Apricots, honey, blossom, bitter almonds. Leesy touch. — 10 years ago
2011. Beautiful with a well aged steak (bleu). Fresh, concentrated, alive. — 10 years ago
