A bit of a disappointment for a. I bought a couple bottles and My impression after opening the second one is the same as it was for the first. As a Rosso de Montalcino, I would have expected it to be more full-bodied, taking more advantage of the Sangiovese varietal. This just wasn’t to be. Banfi makes a vastly superior Rosso de Montalcino in my opinion. — 7 years ago
The sink didn’t complain when I poured this one in to dispose of it. My palate, however did. This was such a disappointment. The 2014 was a great value (though not quite as good as their Pinot Noir, which was extraordinary in 2014.). I don’t know what happened to the 2015 vintage, but the Pinot Noir was not up to par, and this, the Cabernet, was completely unsatisfactory. Down the drain it went. — 7 years ago
Big, black cherry and chocolate. Superb for the price ($12 at Costco, bought a couple of years ago)

I’m not familiar with this Vineyard, but this was a delightful, full red blend. — 7 years ago
Pronounced berries and Cassis, with a hint of chocolate and tobacco on a long finish. Unfortunately, the 2007 vintage is going to be hard to find at this point. A nice bottle at a great price point (around $25). — 7 years ago
Peppery, very dark berries, robust, full-bodied zin. Nose is mediocre, the finish was not anything special. — 7 years ago
20th year edition - no other vintage indication. $10 at Costco, but not even worth that. It’s not that it has a particularly poor taste, it’s just that it has essentially NO taste. No nose, either. Perhaps an accurate description would be “something like a drink of water, with an almost non-discernible buttery taste and a label that says that it contains alcohol. I would definitely pass on this one! — 7 years ago
What’s not to like about Sangiovese? This one is smooth, has nice spice, and a long finish. Quite a bargain at just under $20. — 7 years ago

If it had any more tobacco flavor, you’d have to smoke it, rather then drink it. Pass on this one! — 7 years ago
