Good length, bright fruit with cigar box smokiness. A tad overpriced but excellent with beef. — 10 years ago
Superb crisp lager. In its own way, as good as the best Belgian beers I've tasted. — 10 years ago
Like this a lot. Candy orange, peach, apricots, citrus. Perhaps slightly too sugary rather than smooth, however. — 10 years ago
Rich, sumptuous and delicious from magnum. Only downside is the strength and ensuing hangover! — 10 years ago
Intriguing although a little unstable with flavours darting around. Interesting note of blueberries alongside a lighter Zinfandel-ish core. — 10 years ago
A bit dried out from age, but still plenty of crystallised red fruits and spicy peppery notes. Decent length, as well. — 10 years ago
Really quite disappointing. Tasted of stewed fruits, and quite a strong wave of alcohol behind it. Quite cheap, but tastes it. — 10 years ago
Really very good. Silky with a lovely blend of sweet fruits, light tannins and zippy acidity, despite the age. Good length too. — 10 years ago
Lovely sweet fruit and zippy acid. Very fine tannin just fading to a long finish. Probably has 5 years to go but excellent already. — 10 years ago
Paul Boswell
Dense, dark, brooding. Still very young; needed some time to breathe but opened beautifully. Despite its high cost, you can taste the breeding. — 10 years ago
