Good red fruits, a bit smoky. Not much acid or tannin. Crisp finish. — 9 years ago

Tart cherry/raspberry/unripe strawberry straight out of the bottle, a little concord grape and plum came through after it got some air. A little leather on the nose. Light body, little to no tannin, low acidity, very little spice. No finish to speak of. Almost seemed watered-down. There was not much"dark" about this blend. None of the chocolate/mocha, dark fruits, or spice usually present in "dark" blends. That said, no real flaws in this wine, just nothing to write home about. Boring but drinkable. — 9 years ago

SUPER earthy/minerally. Tart cherry and slightly unripe red fruits after it started to open up. Wasn't getting a ton of acidity (just enough, though) and tannins were very light and soft. Not a lot of spice- maybe a hint. Very savory, almost saline (from the minerals, probably). Found this one very interesting and would definitely buy again. — 9 years ago

Really nice tobacco on the nose with some leather and earth. Great balance of acid/tannin/fruit with a little spice. Did not decant, but it sounds like the earthiness may have mellowed with some air. Brought this to a wine party where it was the only "old world" red. Everyone either loved it or hated it. Definitely strikes a contrast to the "fruit bombs". — 9 years ago
