Not sure what it is, but definitely didn't like it on its own. I'm not a red wine drinker, so that probably has something to do with it, but I was hoping this would be a good intro to red wine. Sadly, I don't believe it is. I was excited about the "chocolate" or even "mocha" notes it was described with. I could smell a hint of creamy chocolate every once in a while, but it tasted nothing like it. I was hoping it would taste like a sweet red, but nope. All I could taste was something very woodsy with a hint of tire, or even tin. With a name like "Red Velvet", youd think it could be used as a dessert wine as well. Nope. Not even close. I love their Moscato D'Asti, which is why I attempted this one......but it can't even compare. Too bitter, too woodsy, too.....not for me. — 8 years ago

Not as sweet as I like my Moscato to be, but not the worst. Smooth, drinkable, and slightly bubbly; though it goes quickly. Found at Olive Garden and various stores (Fry's). Favorite Moscato is still from San Antonio Winery in L.A. and Cupcake Vineyards Moscato D'Asti. Good for those who don't like too-sweet Moscato. — 8 years ago
