2014 Vintage just released. Decanted for about an hour. OMG this blend is stellar! 41 Petite Verdot 28 Malbec 19 Cab Sauv 10 Cab Franc 2 Carmenere. Hits all the right dark berry and cassis notes with velvety tannins and a long finish. Poured it at a tarting tonight. It paired equally well with Cambozola cheese and dark chocolate. The crowd went wild! — 8 years ago
Farm Worker 2013 Red Blend by Maldonado. Gift from a friend, shared over a dinner of baked salmon and grilled porterhouse, fingerling potatoes and English peas. The wine was easy drinking and uncomplicated with a slight peppery spice finish and dark berry flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah & Zinfandel is the blend. — 8 years ago
Light, crisp and refreshing. Citrus, lime, grapefruit and lemongrass with herbaceous notes reminiscent of a NZ style SB. Paired it with the feta carmelized onion pastry bites from TJs. #boissetcollection find it at my.boissetcollection.com/nancieh — 8 years ago
2013 vintage. I've been eyeing this wine for weeks at Vintage Wine + Market, where I work. Finally decided to buy a bottle. Medium to full bodied white. White floral and stone fruit aromas with damp pavement, like just after a rainfall. Lots of pineapple and tropical flavors. Medium acidity and astringency on the mid palate. A bit of toasted oily nuts and saltiness on the finish. This wine craves food, and I do not have any at the moment but it makes me want a bowl of pasta carbonara with chicken, or something equally creamy and salty. — 9 years ago
Bodega Pierce 2015 Malvasia Bianca, Rolling View Vineyard, Cochise County, Arizona. Purchased on my last trip to AZ. Served chilled with a cheese plate and friends on a sunny evening in my backyard. Aromas of pineapple, melon and fragrant honeysuckle with a hint of green herbs. Noticeable salinity. Viscous mouthfeel. A pretty wine for casual springtime sipping. — 8 years ago
This 7 year old Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills was bright and lively, earthy and bold with a hint of black pepper on the long finish. Full bodied and lush. The Hubers are a small family farm with a quaint tasting room in their home on Hwy 246 between Buellton and Lompoc. Purchase this bottle at the winery in 2013. — 8 years ago
DeLoach 2007 Masut Vineyard Pinot Noir. Received in the May Circle of Boisset Wine Club shipment. Paired it with a simple meal of grilled bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and salad. Garnet to brick red in color. Aromas of dried cherry, dried apricot, raisin and dusty earth. Mouthwatering acidity, silky tannins. High alcohol which dissipated some time after opening. Flavors of cherry jam, pine forest floor, vanilla and baking spices. Medium to long finish. I don't usually decant Pinot, but I recommend decanting this one. — 9 years ago

Lincourt 2014 Gruner Veltliner Santa Rita Hills. Aromas of citrus rind and white flowers with a hint of white pepper. Crisp, creamy acidity. Flavors of grapefruit, apricot, and wet stones with a finish of lemon meringue pie. Received the bottle as a gift awhile back. Now that summer is here it was time for an interesting white. Native to Austria, this Gruner Veltliner is from Santa Barbara, CA. Served it with a simple dinner of shrimp scampi over brown rice. — 8 years ago
