2017 vintage. Solid 8.5-9. Despite knowingly opening this bottle a little young, the time and the dinner was absolutely right. Overall, after a tight opening, 30-40 minutes in the decanter revealed a wonderfully harmonious account of CDP. Colour: Medium ruby. Aroma/flavour profile: cherry, dark berry, plum deliver a perfect level of acid that was a little higher than usual which told me it was ready to sit a little longer. Structured tannin on the mid palate. Lovely long finish of smoke and allspice. — 4 years ago
